KENOSHA, Wis. – For the 23
rd consecutive season, Grand Valley State women's and men's cross country has swept NCAA Division II Midwest Region Championship titles. Taking their first strides at 10 a.m. CST, the women walked away with their 24
th Midwest Region title with all seven women placing in the top-13 to score a 25-point team score.
Lauren Kiley defended her 2024 Midwest Region title, clinching the 2025 championship title with a four-second lead. The men followed suit, claiming their 23
rd title at noon.
Koby Fraaza led the men with a third-place finish, with the other six all recording top-25 finishes to record a 44-point team score. GVSU's first place team finishes clinched berths to the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 22.

Kiley, a senior, claimed her second championship title of the season with a 20:38.00 finish, effectively defending her 2024 Regional title. Just behind Kiley were teammates
Abigail VanderKooi and
Allie Arnsman, crossing the finish line third and fourth at 20:45.29 and 20:48.35, respectively. The final four finished in pairs;
Maggie O'Malley and
Natalie Mello finished eighth and ninth at 21:12.47 and 21:13.64, while
Landyn Howell and
Karen Kiratu rounded out the Laker ladies field with 12
th and 13
th place finishes at 21:23.30 and 21:23.36.
Redshirt-senior Fraaza placed third for the second year in a row, crossing the finish line at 30:26.4.
Owen Westerkamp and
Conor Somers were the next two to finish, placing fifth and seventh at 30:36.1 and 30:37.3, repectively. The final four to clock finishes were
Sebastian Ramirez (31:02.3),
Brock Wooderson (31:07.3), Nate Riddering (31:22.2) and
Noah Selvaraj (31:27.5), placing 14
th, 15
th, 19
th and 23
rd. Posting personal-best finishes in the 10k were
