Women's Golf In Second At William Beall Classic

FINDLAY, OHIO – The GVSU women's golf team teed off at the William Beall Fall Classic today, playing two rounds at the Findlay Country Club. Following those 18 holes, the Lakers are in second place, with three individuals in the top 10.
 
Results
 
Host Findlay leads the pack at +19, with GVSU eight shots back of them in second. UIndy finished the day in third at +38, with Gannon and Ferris State rounding out the top five.
 
Lea Stotz leads the Lakers in a tie for third after day one, shooting rounds of 78 (+6) and 70 (-2). She sank four birdies to finish at four over par. June Hsiao is one shot back of her at five over in a tie for sixth, as she made four birdies across her two rounds of 73 (+1) and 76 (+4). After rounds of 75 (+3) and 76 (+4), sophomore Charlotte Goersch is in eighth at seven over par, making one birdie per round. Heida Rafnsdottir is tied for 16th at twelve over, as she made seven birdies over her two rounds of 76 and 80 (+8). In a tie for 30th is Rachael Krieger, who carded two rounds of 79 (+7) with four birdies to end at +14. Playing as an individual, Evelyn Park is at +19, as she had rounds of 79 and 84 (+12), making two birdies to end at +19.
 
The Lakers will play the final round tomorrow morning, teeing off at 9:00.
