MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Grand Valley State women's soccer team fell 1-0 against Parkside in the GLIAC Tournament semifinals Friday (Nov. 10) in Marquette, Michigan on the campus of Northern Michigan. The Lakers fall to 11-3-6 on the season and will wait to hear their seed in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.
The Lakers outshot Parkside 29-10, 11-3 on goal and produced seven corner kicks to the Rangers two. Parkside scored in the 18
th minute off a free kick that was inserted into the box. The Lakers created several chances late in the game but would not be able to find the equalizer.
Sophomore
Kacy Lauer led the Lakers with six shots and two on goal while playing all 90 minutes. Junior
Ryann Fetty notched four shots with two on goal while playing all 90 minutes. Freshman
Ella Kleiver got off four shots with two on goal, while senior
Taylor Reid added three shots with one on goal in 87 minutes played. Redshirt freshman
Isabel Imes got the start in goal and made two saves.
