GVSU Announces The 2022 Athletics Hall of Fame Class

Induction Set for Friday, October 21st

Grand Valley State announced the addition of eight new members to the Athletics Hall of Fame that will be inducted Friday, October 21st at the Charles H. Irwin Dinner. The 2022 class will be the 36th class inducted into the athletics Hall of Fame.   
 
New members will include:
Lauren Buresh (Stanwood, Mich./Morely Stanwood), Track & Field (2009-12)
Chris Hammer (Troy, Mich./Athlens), Track & Field/Cross Country (2006-09)
Dan Karpanty, Administration
Monica Kinney (Grand Rapids, Mich./West Catholic), Track & Field/Cross Country (2009-13)
Scott Mackey (Bay City, Mich./Central), Football/Track (2000-03)
Mike McFadden (Saginaw, Mich./Heritage), Football (2003-06)
Kristin Moleski (Rockford, Mich./Rockford), Softball (2005-08)
Jenna Wenglinski (Portage, Mich./Central), Soccer (2007-10).  

"These eight individuals are outstanding representatives of Grand Valley State University and GVSU athletics," said Director of Athletics Keri Becker. "Not only do they come into the Hall of Fame with outstanding athletic and administrative credentials, they also come in as outstanding individuals and we are excited to have them join an incredible group of Laker Hall of Famers."
 
This year's class will join the 171 members previously inducted into the Hall of Fame. The first GVSU Athletics Hall of Fame class was inducted in 1986 and plaques honoring all inductees are on display at the Grand Valley State FieldhouseChampionship lobby.
