KENNESAW, Ga. -
Eli Kosiba and
Emma Richards placed first in the field at the Kennesaw State Invitational on Saturday, April 16 winning the high jump and shot put, respectively. Kosiba cleared a season-best height of 2.15m on his second attempt to bring home the win for the Lakers. Richards won the women's shot put with a distance of 14.79m on her fourth attempt.  Kosiba and Richards are currently anked within the top-five in division II with two weeks left in the regular season.Â

Erika Beistle placed second with a personal-best distance of 48.28m,
Elizabeth Pyles finished third (47.38m). On the men's team,
Myles Kerner finished third putting a distance of 18.57m.
Matt Thomas placed fourth putting a season-best distance of 18.01m. Back at the high jump, Jonathan Rankin-James finished third in the clearing a height of 2.05m.Â
The men's 4x100m relay team of
Caelon Harkey,
Brandon Miller,
Myles Rhodes, and
Jalen Kyles finished second with a season-best time of 40.31. The men's 4x400m relay team also placed second with a time of 3:15.16. Miller scored first  in the men's 100m with a time of 10.68. Rhodes clocked in a personal-best time of 47.49 in the 400m finishing fifth, Harkey placed sixth with a time of 47.53. Rhodes and Harkey moved up the national qualifying list to 12th and 13th. In the men's hurdles,
Makiyah Smallwood crossed the finish line in third with a time of 14.51.Â
The women's 4x400m relay team of
Brooke Barkocy,
Deji'ona Simpson,
Madelyn Allman, and
Isabel Abdouch placed third with a time of 3:55.58.Â
Next for the Lakers, GVÂ opens up the outdoor track in Allendale, Mich. for their first home meet of the outdoor season on April 22 - 23.Â
