ROSEMONT, Ill. – The No. 9 Grand Valley State Lakers made history Friday (Feb. 25) with a pair of run-rule victories, marking the first time this storied program has started a season with three straight run-rule finishes after a 9-0 win over McKendree and 10-1 victory over William Jewell on day two at the Lewis Dome Invitational.
Hannah Beatus (W, 1-0) hurled a complete game no-hitter in the first game of the day, allowing a pair of walks with a hit batter while striking out five in five frames in the circle in the run-rule win. It was the third no-hitter of Beatus' career and the 24

Joanna Cirrincione scored twice and drove in a pair while
Hannah Hollister scored three runs with an RBI from her leadoff spot and
Morgan Wagner and

The Lakers again struck in the first inning of the night cap, scoring twice on a two-run single from
Lydia Goble. The Lakers tacked on four more in the fourth, starting with back-to-back infield RBI singles from

Kelsey Komorous would unload the bases with a three-run single in the sixth as part of another four-run frame to send the game to an early finish.
Hannah Dieck (W, 1-0) allowed one unearned run on two hits and three walks while striking out four in six shutout innings in the circle. The Laker pitching staff has now gone three straight games without allowing an earned run to start the season.
