USTFCCCA All-Region List

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Region honorees for the 2019 Indoor Track & Field season, per a release on Tuesday (Feb. 26), and the Grand Valley State men and women track & field teams brought home a combined 60 honors.

The Laker women had 23 different athletes earn All-Region honors, as they are coming off their 20th consecutive GLIAC title. The team also had nine individuals take home 10 GLIAC titles, and saw the 4x400m and the DMR units claim conference titles as well. The women are currently No. 2 with 198.28 points in the most recent USTFCCCA index poll, second only to Adams State.

The GVSU men had 14 individuals claim All-Region honors after the team won back-to-back GLIAC Indoor Track & Field championships and their 18th overall title. Grand Valley State also saw five athletes earn six individual titles, as the DMR team also captured a conference crown as well. In the most recent USTFCCCA index poll, the men sit at No. 5 with 103.45 points.

Grand Valley State will now prep for the 2019 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday (March 8) and Saturday (March 9) in Pittsburg, Kansas.
