Grand Valley State junior Mikayla Karasek has been named the GLIAC Diver of the Week it was announced by the league office. Karasek, a four-time NCAA DII All-American and defending GLIAC Champion on the 1-meter board, captured a pair of first-place finishes and hit the 2019 auto qualifying mark for the NCAA DII Championships at the 2019 Grand Valley State Invitational. 

Mikayla tallied an 11-dive score of 460.95 on the 1-meter board to claim top honors, while her 467.05 11-dive score on the 3-meter board also resulted in a first-place finish. GVSU will next be in action Feb. 20-23 at the GLIAC Championships in Cleveland, Ohio.
