Grand Valley State dropped a 7-2 decision to Ohio Dominican Thursday (May 9) in GLIAC Tournament action at Oestrike Stadium on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. Grand Valley State (29-15) will now face the loser of the Wayne State-Ashland game at 10:30 a.m. Friday. 
Ohio Dominican scored two runs in the top of the first and led from that point on for the remainder of the game. The Panthers added three more runs in the top of the fourth to take a 5-0 lead. GVSU scored single runs in the fourth and seventh innings for its only run production on the day. The Lakers hit into three inning ending double plays in the first four innings. 
Senior Kyle Teague was tagged with the loss. Teague allowed six runs, of which only three were earned, on seven hits with five strikeouts. CF Mike Nadratowski, LF Jamie Potts and 1B Giancarlo Brugnoni each collected two hits. Brugnoni and 2B Kevin Zak each drove in a run. ODU scored seven runs on eight hits with one error, while GVSU scored two runs on eight hits with three errors.
