DETROIT, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's tennis team fell at Wayne State, 7-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Wayne State Indoor Tennis Courts.
With an 8-2 mark in conference play, GVSU currently stands in fourth place. The Lakers only have one more GLIAC match before the conference tournament.
Junior Andrew Darrell was able to pick up a point in No. 2 singles with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 win. Freshman Andrew Bole was the only other Laker to record a point with a 7-6, 6-1 victory in the No. 3 spot.
The Lakers now close out their conference schedule against West Michigan rival, Ferris State, on Friday, April 12 at noon in Big Rapids, Mich. GVSU then plays against GRCC and Davenport in an Invitational on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
