BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Ferris State on Friday afternoon at the Big Rapids Racquet and Fitness Center.
Lakers fall to 8-3 in conference play, while moving to 13-10 on the season. Ferris State, who is No. 34 in the nation, improves to 12-4 overall and 9-2 in GLIAC play.
In doubles competition, Andrew Bole and Ben Esh-Nauta picked up an 8-5 victory in the No. 3 slot over Otto Keresztes and Aaron Dial.
Quinn Sylow was the only Laker to pick up a win in singles with a 6-3, 6-7, 11-9 victory in the No. 6 position. Andrew Darrell took his match to three sets at the No. 2 spot, but fell, 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.
Grand Valley State closes out the regular season with matches against GRCC on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and Spring Arbor later in the day at 3 p.m.
