TIFFIN, Ohio - The Grand Valley State men's tennis team picked up its fourth straight GLIAC win with a 6-3 victory at Tiffin on Saturday afternoon.
Just like the match before, Grand Valley State was able to take two points in the doubles competition, this time in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. Sophomore Andrew Darrell (Kalamazoo, Mich.) and senior Marc Roesslein (Basel, Switzerland) won, 8-5, in the top spot, while sophomore Bryan Hodges (Bloomfield, Mich.) and freshman John McDonald (Farmington Hills, Mich.) won 9-7 in No. 2 doubles.
In singles action, the Lakers grabbed wins in all but the last two singles matches. Senior Benny Delgado-Rochas (Tel Aviv, Israel) won, 6-1, 7-5, in the No. 2 spot, while Roesslein won at No. 3, 6-1, 7-5. In the No. 4 spot, Hodges continued his winning ways with a 6-3, 6-0 victory.
GVSU continues play against Hope College on Wednesday, March 28 at 6 p.m. in Holland, Mich.
