Results

SAULT ST. MARIE, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's tennis team picked up a 7-2 victory at Lake Superior State on Saturday at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center.

The Lakers were able to take two doubles points, thanks to the duos of sophomore Andrew Darrell and senior Benny Delgado-Rochas and senior Marc Roesslein and sophomore Bryan Hodges. Each pair picked up a win at their respective spots, with Darrel/Delgado-Rochas winning 8-6 at the No. 1 spot and Roesslein and Hodges, winning 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.

In singles action, Grand Valley was able to pull out wins at all but the No. 1 singles.  Roesslein shutout his opponent in the first set, 6-0, before taking the game, 6-1 in the second set.  Hodges battled his game at the No. 4 spot, winning 7-6 (5), 6-1, over Dane Fosgard.

GVSU is back in action on Sunday against Michigan Tech at 10 a.m.
