No. 42 Northwood Upsets No. 15 Women's Tennis, 5-4

Final Stats

ALLENDALE, Mich. – The No. 15 Grand Valley State women’s tennis team dropped a tightly contested, 5-4, match to No. 42 Northwood on Tuesday afternoon at the Ramblewood Health Club.

The loss is the second of the season for the Lakers who stand at 7-2 in GLIAC and 8-2 overall, while Northwood improves to 4-0 on the season.

GVSU fell behind 3-0 in the doubles competition, but was able to gain some ground in the singles competition. Unfortunately the Lakers dropped the No. 1 and No. 5 singles matches for the Timberwolves to take the match.

The Lakers now travel to Ferris State on Friday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. to continue conference play.
