University Center, Mich. - Grand Valley State dropped a 2-0 decision to Saginaw Valley State in the NCAA DII Midwest Super Regional action Saturday afternoon in University Center, Mich. SVSU advances to the NCAA DII World Series in Salem, Va., while the Lakers finish the year with a 41-16 record.

Saginaw Valley State broke the scoreless game with a single run in the top of the fifth on two hits and added an insurance run in the top of the seventh on a solo HR.

Grand Valley State tallied five hits on the afternoon, two by Miranda Cleary, and one each from Briauna Taylor, Katie Martin, Tonya Calkins and Carli Raisutis. Andrea Nicholson was tagged with the loss, yielding two runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and one walk.
