The Grand Valley State's men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision to Northwood in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament on Saturday (April 17) in Midland, Mich. The Lakers finish the season 12-11, while Northwood advances to 12-4 overall.
Grand Valley State won all three double matches and only picked up one singles match. Marc Roesslein and Pat Snyder defeated Peter Kazianschuetx and Frederic Schoelzel 8-5 in the No. 1 doubles, while Brock Plangger and Philipp Claus picked up the 8-5 win over Marcus Oliveira and Michael Haas. Jeff Globerson and Ryan Diebold defeated Alexis Biarneix and Julian Freese 9-7 in the No. 3 doubles.
Globerson was the lone Laker to pick up a win in the singles competition. Globerson defeated Oliveira 6-4, 3-6, and 6-3 at the No. 4 singles.
