Lakers Claim 5-4 Win Over Ashland

Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State's women's tennis team defeated Ashland 5-4 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play on Friday afternoon (Oct. 8), staying undefeated at 8-0 overall and in conference action. GVSU's Darylann Trout won a three-set tiebreaker (6-3, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (5)) at No. 3 singles to seal the victory for the Lakers. Grand Valley State will host Ohio Dominican on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Laker Tennis Courts.
