Grand Valley State's women's tennis team defeated Lake Superior State 5-0 in the quarterfinals of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) tournament on Friday night (Oct. 22). The Lakers blanked LSSU to remain unbeaten on the year at 13-0 overall, and 11-0 in GLIAC action. GVSU, the #1 seed, will now play Saturday at 3:45 p.m. in round two at the Midland Community Tennis Center.
The Lakers record three wins in doubles action and then picked up a victory at No. 1 and No. 5 singles. Tara Hayes claimed the victory at No. 1 singles 6-3, 6-0, while Darylann Trout notched the win at No. 5 singles 6-0, 6-0. For results and information on the GLIAC tournament, click on the link below.
