Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State claimed a 3-0 victory (25-13, 25-15, 25-11) over Lake Superior State in GLIAC volleyball action at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena Friday night. GVSU upped its record to 8-6 overall and 4-2 in GLIAC action. Grand Valley State will host Saginaw Valley State Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. in the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena.

Whitney Tremain tallied 11 kills and hit .529 for the match, while Rebeccah Rapin also notched 11 kills and hit .450. Krysta Kornack added seven kills, while Eno Umoh and Courtney McCotter each added four kills. GVSU hit .372 for the match, recording 44 kills against just nine hitting errors. GVSU also tallied 20 block assists and one block solo. Umoh and Rapin each notched six block assists. Janelle Beaudry recorded a team-high 15 digs. Meghan Scanlon dished out 22 assists, while Olivia Kohler added 12 assists and six digs.
