#35 Grand Valley State tallied a 7-2 road victory over Great Lakes Region foe #38 Indianapolis on Saturday. The Lakers improve to 17-7 on the season and will play IUPUI on Sunday, April 1 at 9:00 a.m. in Indianapolis, Ind.

Grand Valley State took five out of six of the singles matches and two out of three in doubles play to seal the 7-2 win.

At #1 singles, Lindsey Fischer defeated sophomore Lindsay Grimmer, 6-1,6-7(6),(10-4) to pick up the lone victory in singles action for the Greyhounds. Junior Jenna Killips knocked off Ashley Liles, 6-0,6-2 at #2 singles, while at #3 singles sophomore Audrey Koopsen won 7-5, 7-6(5) over Laura Phillipp. Junior Emily Zellner beat Melanie Sullivan, 6-4,6-3 in #4 singles action and at #5 singles freshman McCall Monte defeated Kristen Volz, 4-6,6-3,(10-6). Freshman Whitney Bindus picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jeannie Hartley in the #6 singles slot.

At #1 doubles, Liles and Fischer beat Zellner and Grimmer, 8-5. Koopsen and Monte knocked off Farley and Sullivan, 8-1, at #2 doubles and at #3 doubles, Killips and Bindus defeated Phillipp and Volz, 9-7.
