Carrier made it a 2-0 contest not more than two minutes later netting a goal from six yards out on a cross from sophomore Ashley Elsass. Five minutes later, Tafler tallied her second and third points of the match on a shot from the left side of the box on another pass from Elsass. The Lakers added a fourth goal later in the first half as freshman Irie Dennis hit a ball into the box that was deflected in by a Dragon defender for the second own goal of the match.
The Laker scoring was not just limited to the first half as Tafler netted her second goal of the match 15 minutes into the second session. Carrier's second goal of the afternoon came on a header from 10 yards out after a deep cross from senior
Katie Ales. Carrier finished off the hat trick less than eight minutes later when a Tiffin defender tried to clear the ball but turned it over and the senior forward turned and fired the ball into the back of the net. Sophomore
Meaghan Robinson scored her first collegiate goal at the 89 minute mark with a blast from the top of the box after a corner kick had been deflected out.
Sophomore Kristina Nasturzio got the start in net and combined with fellow keeper Erin Murphy for the shutout. The Lakers outshot the Dragons 32-0, including 17-0 in shots on goal.
