Grand Valley State dropped a 1-0 decision to Lewis University Thursday afternoon in their second game of the Great Lakes Regional Tournament at Northern Kentucky University. The Lakers will play Southern Illinois Edwardsville Friday at 10:00 a.m. GVSU falls to 33-7 overall.

Senior Jennifer Mackson (22-3) pitched all seven innings for the Lakers, allowing just four hits and the lone run. Lewis scored the run in the bottom of the third on two base hits.

Grand Valley outhit Lewis 7-4, but the Lakers stranded 12 runners on base in the game. Junior SS Sarah Paape went 2-for-3 with two doubles, while sophomore RF Shelby Brayton was 2-for-4 at the plate.
