Jackson, Mich. - Grand Valley State built a 35-22 halftime lead and never looked back en route to a 79-52 win Thursday (Dec. 30) in Jackson, Mich. GVSU improves to 7-4 with the win.

Five Lakers reached double figures, inlcuding a season-high 15-points and eight rebounds from sophomore Julia Braseth. Niki Reams tallied a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while freshman Erin Cyplik added 11 points. Freshman Crystal Zick and sophomore Erika Ryskamp each pitched in 10 points. Every Laker that played pulled down a rebound for GVSU as the Lakers held a 55-29 advantage on the glass.

GVSU scored 52 points in the paint and 27 poins off Spring Arbor turnovers. Grand Valley State will return to action January 3 at home versus Lewis University at 7 p.m.
