#11 Grand Valley State dropped a 3-0 (30-25, 30-24, 30-22) decision to Michigan Tech on Saturday. The Lakers fall to 24-5 overall and 16-2 in GLIAC action. GVSU clinched the #1-seed in the GLIAC North with a 3-1 win over Northern Michigan Friday and will host first round action of the GLIAC Tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 10.
Grand Valley State hit just .153 on the match, while the Huskies tallied a .261 attack percentage. MTU posted five service aces and 16 assisted blocks in the match.
Sophomore Megan Helsen tallied 10 kills, while junior Tracy Kirk added 10 kills and three assisted blocks. Junior Tina Tromblay recorded nine digs and junior Michele Ehrlich added nine digs and 28 assists, Redshirt freshman Alyson Riley posted a match-high 24 digs.
