Final Stats

#20 Grand Valley State defeated Lake Superior State, 3-0 (30-28, 30-14, 30-22), in a GLIAC match up on Friday. GVSU improves to 11-4 overall and 3-0 in the GLIAC.

Stephanie Maciasz led the way for the Lakers with 14 kills, 26 total attacks, and a .462 attack percentage. Sabrina Bird also tallied 14 kills, 28 total attacks, two aces, three blocks, and a .429 hitting percentage. Leah Kunz recorded 47 assists and nine digs.

Tracy Kirk added 12 kills, 24 total attacks, and two aces. Melissa Reneski led the team with 14 digs, Molly Young had 12 digs, and Katie Horvath added 11 digs.

GVSU has defeated Lake Superior 27 times in a row, dating back to 1989, when Grand Valley lost twice that season.

Grand Valley will host Michigan Tech in another GLIAC contest Saturday, Sept. 27 at 4:00 p.m.
