Owensborro, Ken. - Jennifer Mackson tossed a one-hitter Saturday at Kentucky Wesleyan as fourth-ranked Grand Valley State claimed a 10-0 win in game one of a non-league doubleheader. The Lakers notched a 17-2 victory in game two and improved to 16-1 overall.

Junior Sara Vroegindewey drove in three runs in game one as Mackson picked up her eighth win of the year versus no losses. Mackson has allowed just three runs in 60 innings of work thus far in her junior year. GVSU dominated game two as Kristin Jenner earned her fourth win of the year. Jenner yielded just three hits in seven innings. Keri Jonas smacked a pair of home runs and drove in four runs, while freshman Stacie DelChiaro notched her first career home run.

Grand Valley State will continue its road trip with a twinbill Sunday at Bellarmine.
