Grand Valley fell, 5-4, in a close matchup with Belmont Abbey. The Lakers lost the first three matches in singles play, but won the last three to even up the score. Belmont Abbey won two out of three in doubles action to claim the victory.
Mike Rhoads won 2-6, 7-5, 6-3 at #4 singles and also teamed up with Nick Cron to pick up a victory at #3 doubles (8-2). Matt Young won at #5 singles, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 and Cron recorded a won at #6 singles (6-0, 6-0).
