Grand Valley State picked up a 80-63 win over Rochester College Tuesday night. The Lakers are now 3-1 overall and Rochester falls to 6-4.

GVSU was led by junior forward Marcus Wallace who tallied 23 points, eight rebounds, six steals, and three assists, while freshman guard Mike Hall added 17 points and eight rebounds. Senior forward Melvin White recorded 12 points and Courtney James added eight assists and six rebounds.

The Lakers led 39-31 at the half and outscored Rochester 41-32 in the second half.

Grand Valley State will play in the Select Bank Classic this weekend. The Lakers will play Hope College on Friday, Nov. 28 at 2:00 p.m. Calvin and Cornerstone will face off at noon on Friday. The consolation game will be play on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 6:00 p.m. with the championship game to follow at 8:00 p.m.
