Grand Valley State picked up its sixth GLIAC win as they defeated Saginaw Valley State, 3-1 (30-20, 28-30, 30-21, 30-24), on Saturday. The Lakers are now 14-5 overall and 6-1 in GLIAC play.

The Lakers were led by Tracy Kirk as she tallied 20 kills, 36 attacks, no errors, a .556 attack percentage, three aces, four digs, and five total blocks. Sabrina Bird recorded 19 kills, 31 total attacks, seven digs, and three aces, while Melissa Reneski added 10 kills, 28 total attacks, and a team-high 17 digs. Megan Helsen had 16 digs and Katie Horvath added 10, while Nicole Bayle led the way with 32 assists.

GVSU will host archrival Ferris State on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 7:00 p.m.
