Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State's women's soccer team fell to Ferris State 1-0 on Saturday in Big Rapids, Mich. FSU's Sara Ideran netted a goal in the 65th minute to pull out the win. GVSU outshot the Bulldogs 24-12 but could not get a score. The Lakers finish the regular season with a 13-4-1 overall record and 6-2-1 in the GLIAC, which places them second in the conference standings.

The Lakers tallied nine shots on goal compared to seven for the Bulldogs. Melissa Henson made six saves in goal for GVSU.

The 13 wins by the Lakers marks the most successful season in the school's soccer history as well as the .743 winning percentage.
