The Grand Valley State University women's volleyball team advances to the final round of competition in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Tournament with a 3-1 victory over Southern Indiana. GVSU improves their overall record to 30-2 this season. The Lakers were led by senior Carly Miller who tallied 24 kills and 14 digs, and posted a .426 hitting percentage for the match.
Chara Fehsenfeld also had a solid game for the Lakers, recording 17 kills, 14 digs, and a .333 hitting percentage. Elisa Joris led the team in blocks with 10 (3 solo, 7 assisted), while Nicole Bayle added 16 digs and 50 assists.
The Lakers will be in action again on Sunday, November 24, in the GVSU fieldhouse arena. #1 Grand Valley State will take on #2 Northwood for the Great Lakes Regional title beginning at 5:00pm.
