Grand Valley easily defeated Wayne State Friday, 3-0 (30-14, 30-18, 30-18). The Lakers were led by Carly Miller who recorded nine kills and a .350 attack percentage. Elisa Joris added seven kills, and five block assists while Sabrina Bird added six kills, and four service aces. Katie Horvath added 10 digs to lead the defense and Nicole Bayle recorded 30 assists and four kills for the Lakers.
GVSU hit .500 in game one, while forcing Wayne State to a .000 attack percentage. Grand Valley continued to hit well in the second game, recording a .484 percentage and a .360 mark in game three.
GVSU improves to 19-2 overall and 10-1 in the GLIAC. The Laker will play in another conference match on Saturday at Hillsdale starting at 1 p.m.
