The Grand Valley State track and field teams are back home this weekend and are set to host the GVSU Big Meet-Friday, on Friday (Feb. 9) and the GVSU Big Meet-Saturday, on Saturday (Feb. 10); as this year the GVSU Big Meet will be split into two separate meets. The Lakers enter the meets with the number one national ranking on the women's side, while the men moved up two spots in the ranking and sit as the number two ranked team in the poll.
Â
The Big Meets will be the largest meets that GVSU has hosted thus far this season and will include several Division I programs. Friday's meet will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the 5,000 meter race as the first event, while the field events will commence at 12:00 p.m. Saturday's meet starts at 9:00 a.m. with field events, followed by the track events at 10:00 a.m.
