Full NCAA Regional Release
ALLENDALE, Mich.—The Grand Valley State women's golf team has been selected to participate in the 2017 NCAA Women's Golf NCAA East Super Regional to be held in North Canton, Ohio, per a release from the NCAA on Monday. The competition will be held at Glenmoor Country Club from May 8
th-10
th and will consist of both team and individual competition, with 12 teams and six individuals at each site. The top three teams along with three individuals not with a qualifying team after the 54 holes of play will advance to the championships.
GVSU has won seven regional titles, with the most recent coming in the 2013-14 season, and finished second at the regional last spring. Since 2000, the Lakers have advanced past the regional round a total of 14 times, and went on to place fourth at the NCAA Division II Championship last season, and featured the 2016 individual national champion in Gabrielle Shipley.
The Lakers have won three tournaments this season, including the 2017 Cavalier Classic, which was held at Glenmoor on April 10-11
th. GVSU is ranked fourth in the East behind the University of Indianapolis, University of Findlay, and Missouri-St.Louis. The remaining teams competing in the regional consist of Northern Michigan University, Ashland, Northwood, University of Illinois at Springfield, Lewis, University of Southern Indiana, Gannon and California (Pa.).

Alex Taylor,
Samantha Moss,
Julie Guckian and
Maria Sol Pose. Guckian finished fourth overall at last season's regional with a 221 (+5), while Moss finished tied for 18
th with a 236 (+20) and Taylor carded a 243 (+27).
