Kendra Foley has been selected as the USTFCCCA Cross Country Division II National Female Athlete of the Week after her 1
st place finish at the MSU Spartan Invitational this weekend, edging out Michigan State's Rachele Schulist at the finish line.

The Laker runner joins Chris Striegel of Bellarmine as the Division II National Athletes of the Week. The National Athlete of the Week is an award selected and presented by the USTFCCCA at the beginning of each week to six collegiate cross country athletes for each of the three NCAA divisions.

The senior from Noblesville, Ind. posted a time of 20:54 in the 6k race, which was the fastest time at the meet since Leah O'Connor's identical time in 2013. Foley will continue her quest for her second individual championship when GVSU runs at the Greater Louisville Classic on October 1.
