SPRINGFIELD, Ill.-- The Grand Valley State women's golf team once again finds itself in second place at the NCAA Women's Super Regional, hosted by the University of Illinois-Springfield in Springfield, Illinois. Now in a tie with the University of Findlay for second, the Lakers shot a 312 in the second round to end with 614 strokes after two rounds. The University of Indianapolis continued its torrid start to the tournament, posting a 592 team score through two rounds. 

Rounding out the top five in the team leaderboard are Ashland (627) and Southern Indiana (631). 

Senior Gabrielle Shipley led GVSU with a 146 score through two rounds, carding a 76 in the second round. Julie Guckian posted a 77 in her second round for a 151 total score, followed by Alex Amos (157) with a 79, Alex Taylor (160) with an 80 and Samantha Moss with an 82. 

Play resumes tomorrow morning, with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m.
