ALLENDALE, Mich.-- After one round of play on a soggy 18 holes at the Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Michigan, the Grand Valley State men's golf team is fifth in the team standings at the NCAA Division II Midwest Super Regional with a 295 team score.
Ahead of the Lakers is a two way tie between Bellarmine and Central Missouri for third place, with a 294 team score. Firmly in second is Southeast Oklahoma State with 291 strokes, and Tiffin is in the lead with a 289 team score.
Junior
Alex Nannetti was the top performer on the day for Grand Valley State, as he finished tied for seventh place after carding a 71 (E), totaling four birdies on the day.
Domenic Mancinelli and
Chris Beltzer were second on the Laker squad, ending up tied for 22nd place after each carded a 74 (+3).
Alex Scott carded a 76 (+5) on the day, while
Bryce Messner rounded out the Laker squad with a 77 (+6).
The Regional resumes play on Tuesday morning, with tee times set to begin at 7:30 a.m.
