NASHPORT, Ohio.-- The Grand Valley State men's golf team moved up to third overall after the second round of play at the GLIAC Golf Championship, held at the Virtues Golf Club in Nasport, Ohio. Tiffin (597) and Malone (602) are in first and second place, respectively, while the Lakers jumped ahead from the fifth spot after day one to finish the day in third place with a 603 team score.
Alex Scott leads the Lakers with a 148 overall score, tied for the third best individual score behind Jake Troyer of Malone (144) and Cam Wardley of Findlay (147).
Domenic Mancinelli jumped 27 spots in the individual standings to finished tied for 11th overall by shooting a 71 in today's round, and currently has a 150 score through two rounds.
Bryce Messner moved up ten spots from the first round to finish tied at 22nd overall with a 152 after scoring a 74 today.
Alex Nannetti also moved up in the individual standings, finishing tied for 28th overall after shooting a 75 in today's round to finish at 153.
Mitchell White rounded out the scoring for the Lakers with a 157 overal score through two rounds.
The tournament wraps up tomorrow after a third and final round of play.
