NOBLESVILLE, Ind.-- The Grand Valley State men's golf team improved on it's first round team score during the second day of the NCAA Midwest Regional #4 in Noblesville, Indiana, but finished in ninth place at the event with a total team score of 613.
Northwood University won the event with a 600 team score, followed by Lewis (602) and Indianapolis (603).
The Lakers were in eighth place after the first day of competition with a 308 team score, but slipped to ninth on the second day despite posting an improved 305 second round score. The field featured 30 teams overall.
Alex Nannetti led the Lakers at 15th place in the individual leaderboard with a 151 overall score after posting an opening 78 and a second round score of 73.
Domenic Mancinelli shot a 153 (76,77) and
Bryce Messner carded a 154 (75,79).
Ted Rider finished with a 156 (80,76), while
Alex Scott carded a 158 (79,79) to round out the Laker's scoring.
Next up for GVSU is the GLIAC Conference Championship on Friday, April 15th, and held at the Longaberger Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.
