ALLENDALE, MI- The Grand Valley State women's golf team was unable to improve on yesterday's team score of 307, compiling a team score of 310 on the second and final day of the 6th Annual Gilda's Club Fall Laker Invite. The Lakers finished in second place among the field of 13 teams, trailing 1st place finisher University of Missouri-Saint Louis by seven strokes.
GVSU led the event after the first day of competition on Saturday, but UMSL's second round team score of 302 made up the deficit and then some, leapfrogging them past Grand Valley and into the top spot. UMSL had the top individual player in Stefaniya Ivanova, who finished with a 141 (-3) combined score.
Grand Valley was led by Senior
Gabrielle Shipley, who shot a 76 on the day to record a 150 (+6) total score, good for the 3rd best individual score on the weekend.

Julie Guckian tied for 7th (154, +10), juniors
Danielle Crilley and
Alex Taylor tied for 12th by both recording a 156 (+12), freshman Alex Amos finished 14th and shot a 157 (+13), sophomore
Samantha Moss tied for 32nd with a 166 (+22) and freshman
Mackenzie Blomberg registered a 169 (+25). Blomberg and Taylor competed as individuals.
