The Grand Valley women's golf team followed up it's impressive 306 opening round with an equally solid 308 team score on Sunday to win the Dan Salisbury Memorial Event in resounding fashion in Springfield, Illinois.
Grand Valley finished with a 614 (+32) team score, 34 strokes ahead of second place California-PA and Drury University. The Lakers took first, second, fourth and eighth and 23
rd place in the individual standings.
Junior
Alex Taylor led the way for the Lakers with a 150 (+6), good for the top individual score in the entire field. Freshman Alex Amos came in second overall with a 152 (+8), senior
Gabrielle Shipley came in fourth with a 156 (+12), and junior
Danielle Crilley came in eighth overall with a 158 (+14). Rounding out the Laker's lineup was sophomore
Samantha Moss, who tied for 23
rd overall with a 164 (+20).
