Kelly Hartigan followed up with another solid round of 80 (+8) on Thursday (May 14). Playing on her home course - The Meadows in Allendale - Hartigan is tied for 33rd place at the midway point of the tournament with a 159 (+15).

Hartigan is competing as one of 12 individuals after winning the East Super Regional Tournament last weekend in Chicago, Ill. There are also 12 teams competing for the Division II National Championship.

Using a birdie on the 374-yard par-4 fifth hole, Hartigan was even after seven holes, collecting five pars along the way. The four-time All-GLIAC First Team selection finished the front nine with a score of +3. She also birdied the 10th hole, which is a 353-yard par-4. Hartigan completed the back nine with a +5 to finish out her overall round of 80.

Notching nine pars on Thursday - including pars on holes 13, 14, 15 and 18 - Hartigan has picked up 20 pars in the opening two rounds.

This is the third time that Hartigan has competed at the Division II National Championship, as she tied for 12th place last May and earned a tie for 16th place as a freshman in 2011-12.

Only two players entered Thursday's round under par, but the course played much tougher on day two. The lowest score by any player on Thursday was a +1, done by three different golfers.

Midwestern State's Brenna Moore - competing as an individual - sits in first place overall with a 147 (+3), while Rollins' Madison Lellyo is one shot back at 148 (+4). Lellyo was the day one leader with a -2, the best individual score of the tournament thus far.

Indianapolis fired a team score of 299 on Thursday, the best round by any team in the tournament. With a +28, the Greyhounds lead Rollins and Central Oklahoma by 16 strokes at the midway point of the four-day competition.

Similar to how she started on Wednesday, Hartigan will go off the back nine on Friday morning (May 15), teeing off at 8:35 a.m.
