        Donna Sass Eaton was one of the first female athletes recruited to play at Grand Valley. She earned 11 varsity letters as a starter in basketball, softball and volleyball from 1974-78. She played on 10 Great Lakes Conference championship teams and during her career at GVSU she posted an overall 248-90 won/loss record. Sass Eaton was a setter and captain in volleyball. She hit for a .351 career average playing outfield in softball and as a starting guard scored 605 points for a 5.8 average in basketball. During her career, she posted a 3.26 gpa and was All-Conference in volleyball. A graduate of Farmington Our Lady of Mercy High School, Sass Eaton is currently head women's track coach and Director of Health Dynamics-Wellness Program at Hope college. Donna and her husband, James live in Holland, MI.,
