?Ashley Smith concluded her career as one of the most prolific golfers in the history of the Grand Valley State program. Smith was a four-time All-GLIAC performer, including three consecutive years (2007, 2008, 2009) as a first-team honoree, while being named the GLIAC Women’s Golfer of the Year as a junior and senior. In addition, Smith was a three-time Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-Region performer and a three-time WGCA All-American when her national ranking reached 16th in the country. Smith tallied nine career tournament wins, the fourth-highest total in program history, including the 2010 GLIAC Women’s Golf Tournament Medalist Championship. Smith was a key contributor in the Lakers’ team success of four GLIAC Championships, three NCAA DII Midwest Regional titles and a runner-up finish at the 2009 NCAA DII National Championships.
